Slow Wi-Fi: where should you start?
A slow network can be caused by more than weak coverage. Capacity, interference, the internet connection and the computer itself can also play a part.

Narrow down the problem
Note where and when it happens. Does it affect one computer or several? Only video meetings, or websites and internal systems too? Is the problem constant, or does it appear when many people are using the network?
Compare several locations
Try the same computer closer to the access point and at the desk where the problem occurs. If possible, it can be useful to compare with a wired connection. Even so, a single speed test does not give the whole answer.
Look at placement and use
Walls, metal, distance and other radio traffic can affect the connection. More access points only help when placement, channels and connections fit together. A separate guest network can keep access separate, but does not automatically give more capacity.
Avoid factory resets or major changes without an overview of the set-up and access. Keep a note of what you observe, and the troubleshooting will be more targeted.
