Terms for the website and Google Business Profile
Last updated 6 October 2026.
This is an English translation. If the two versions differ, the Norwegian version applies: Vilkår for nettside og Google-profil.
These are the terms for the website we create and run for you. If you are here for ordinary IT help, those terms are on the terms page. The two apply independently of each other.
Who your agreement is with
HOLMESTRANDIT AS, org. no. 938 342 121, Gladengveien 5F, 0661 Oslo. Phone 995 60 122, e-mail [email protected].
What you get
- A website on your own domain, made by us.
- Operation of the site: it is hosted on our machines and is to be available around the clock.
- Correct information about your business on 1881 and Gule Sider. Where BankID is needed, we tell you what it should say, and you confirm it.
- Images and posts can be imported automatically from your Facebook page, and from the Instagram account linked to it, once the import is in place. It is not in place yet, and until then we use text and images you send us.
- Up to two minor changes a quarter. See further down for what that means.
What it costs
NOK 299 a month for businesses. NOK 249 a month for private individuals, clubs and associations. The price is what you pay. No VAT is added on top.
The Google Business Profile is an optional add-on, at NOK 100 a month. Website and Google Business Profile together cost NOK 399 a month for businesses, and NOK 349 for qualifying clubs and associations. The add-on requires your organisation to meet Google's requirements for a Google Business Profile.
We invoice quarterly in advance, that is, NOK 897 at a time for the website, and NOK 1,197 with the Google Business Profile, with 14 days to pay. If you would rather pay for a whole year at a time, it costs NOK 3,289 for the website and NOK 4,389 with the Google Business Profile, which is twelve months for the price of eleven.
Set-up is NOK 0 within the agreed scope. We charge nothing for making the site, tidying up the directory listings or getting started with the Google Business Profile.
The Google Business Profile is an optional add-on
With the add-on, we maintain your business's Google Business Profile: category, opening hours, phone, address, description, images and services, and we keep the profile and the website consistent with each other. Every month we post two updates on the profile, for example news or offers, and write draft replies to new reviews within three working days, which you approve before they are posted. You get a short report every month with the work we have done and the figures Google makes available for the profile, for example views, clicks to the website, taps on the call button and requests for directions. A tap on the call button is not the same as a phone call or a sale, and we cannot guarantee placement in the search results.
We also set up the e-mail and domain security for your domain (SPF, DKIM and DMARC), and let you know before the domain or the certificate expires.
It costs an extra NOK 100 a month, that is, NOK 399 for the website and Google Business Profile, and NOK 349 for qualifying clubs and associations.
The profile is yours and stays yours. You give us administrator access through Google's own roles, under “People and access” in the profile, and you share neither passwords nor verification codes with us. We show you how. The add-on runs from the month in which we have been given access, and is invoiced together with the website.
If you want to stop the add-on, you let us know, and it stops from the next period. We do not touch the profile after that, and you remove our access yourself whenever you like.
The domain is yours, and it costs extra
The domain, that is, yourcompany.no, is registered with you as the owner. If you already have it, you do not need to do anything with it. If you do not, we register it for you with Domeneshop, in our account, with your org. no. as the owner. We pay for it and add it to your invoice at the price Domeneshop charges, with no mark-up. You get the price before we order.
You are listed as the owner on purpose. That way you own your company name online, whatever happens to us. If you leave, you get the authorisation code from us within three working days, and move the domain wherever you like.
If you already have e-mail on the domain, we do not touch it. You add two lines to the domain settings, and the rest stays as before.
No commitment. You pay for the period you want
It works like a subscription. The site works for as long as the period you have paid for is running. If you want to continue, you pay the next invoice, and the site keeps running. If you want to stop, you simply do not pay it. You do not need to cancel, and there is no minimum term.
We will say it plainly
Set-up is free, and we are taking the chance that you will stay because the site is good, not because an agreement holds you. If you leave after the first quarter, we have lost a day's work. We can live with that.
Ordinary IT help from us has no minimum term and no service agreement either.
What work is included
You can ask for up to two minor changes a quarter, and we make them within three working days. A minor change is, for example:
- new opening hours
- a price going up or down
- a new phone number or a new e-mail address
- replacing an image
- hiding a post that has been imported from Facebook
Hiding a post does not count. We do that the same day, and as many times as you like.
If you need more than two changes a quarter, or something bigger, such as new text for a whole page, a new section or a rewrite, we are happy to do that at our normal hourly rate. We always tell you in advance what it will cost, and you decide whether we should do it.
The images and posts from Facebook
Importing posts from Facebook is not in place yet. We will let you know when it is ready, and what is written below applies from then on.
You give us access to read from your Facebook page by clicking a link and logging in. We import posts and images from there and show them on the website.
We provide this as far as Facebook allows it. Facebook owns that access, and they can change their rules without asking us. If the access is lost, either because Facebook changes something or because you change your password, remove the app or lose the administrator role on the page, the website stays as it is, with the content it has.
We will then let you know and send you a new link, and you are up and running again with one click. The price does not change in the meantime.
The content is your responsibility
You must have the right to use the text and images that end up on the site. This also applies to what is imported from Facebook. If you have shared someone else's image there, we cannot publish it for you.
If we see something that obviously cannot stay up, we tell you and take it down until we have talked about it.
When the period is over
If a paid period ends without the next one having been paid, this is what happens, and you are notified at each step:
| When | What happens |
|---|---|
| The period is over | The site is paused: it shows a neutral message saying that it is being updated. If you pay, it is back up the same day. |
| 60 days later | The site is taken down. |
| Six months later | Your content is deleted at our end. Until then, you can take it with you if you ask for it, see below. |
A paid period is not refunded, not even if you stop using the site partway through it. That is the price of there being no notice period.
We can also end the agreement ourselves, with three months' notice. You then get everything to take with you, as described below, and we help you move on to someone else if you wish.
When you leave, you take everything with you
If you ask for it within six months after the site was taken down, you will receive, within fourteen days, a folder with the whole website: all the pages, all the images, and the configuration it is built from. The folder contains the pages as ordinary files with the images and the configuration they are built from, and can be placed on any web server that serves static files. The domain's DNS records and any e-mail are set up again wherever you move to, and importing posts from Facebook is not included.
- The domain is already yours, and you do not need to do anything with it.
- Our access to your Facebook page is deleted by us the same day the agreement ends. You also remove us from your page yourself, and we show you how.
- The Google Business Profile is yours. If you had the add-on, we do not touch it after the agreement ends, and you remove our access in your profile yourself, in the same place where you gave it.
- Your content held by us is deleted within thirty days after you have received the folder, and no later than six months after the site was taken down.
- The invoices are kept by us for five years. It is the Accounting Act (regnskapsloven) that requires this, and we cannot opt out of it.
If we change the price
We can change the price with three months' written notice. If you disagree with an increase, you simply do not pay for the next period, and the site runs until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer, that is, a private individual, and you order by phone, e-mail or online, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal under the Cancellation Act (angrerettloven).
If you ask us to start straight away
If you want us to start on the site before the fourteen days have passed, you must expressly ask for it. If you do and we finish, you lose the right of withdrawal. If we only get part of the job done before you withdraw, you pay for that part.
We confirm this by message or e-mail before we start, so that we both have it in writing.
If you are a business, the right of withdrawal does not apply. That follows from the law, not from us.
If something goes wrong
We do the job as well as we can, but we cannot promise that a website will never be down.
- We are liable for damage we cause through negligence.
- We are not liable for Facebook, Google or your domain provider changing or stopping something.
- We are not liable for indirect loss, such as loss of earnings or lost contracts.
- Our total liability is limited to what you have paid in the last twelve months, unless we have acted with gross negligence.
This does not limit the rights you have as a consumer under Norwegian law.
Complaints
If you are dissatisfied, tell us first. We want to know about it, and it can usually be sorted out. We reply within one working day.
If we cannot reach agreement and you are a consumer, you can ask the Norwegian Consumer Authority (Forbrukertilsynet) for mediation. Cases that are not resolved there can go on to the Consumer Complaints Committee (Forbrukerklageutvalget). Here is how to proceed: forbrukertilsynet.no/tvistelosning. If you are a business, the case goes to the conciliation board (forliksrådet).
Personal data
See the privacy policy. We process personal data on your behalf when we run your website, and in that case the data processing agreement for websites also applies. We enter into it together with this agreement.
If you want us to delete everything we have about you, the instructions are on the deletion page.
